The main thing to emphasise within the work above is that personal projects can drive those dream projects with brands or publishers 💡.

Also, that friendly reminder to take things off the page sometimes, and to keep experimenting with new mediums and scales! 🙌🏻

We have the perfect talk for you.. on the 5th August we will be joined by the wonderful Louise Lockhart AKA Louise Lockhart for our ‘Scissors, Shows & Sales’ talk!🥜✂️

Louise works from her farm in rural Wales, where she creates playful worlds from paper cut-outs and line drawings that have since appeared on books, products, packaging, and textiles for major brands such as Mini Boden, M&S and Anthropologie .

She is currently working on her 11th book with children’s publisher Nosy Crow 📖!!

Never quite fitting into any particular box, Louise’s work spans across disciplines bridging the gap between art, print making, textiles, design and illustration.

Meet Louise Lockhart, AKA Louise Lockhart 🥜

Louise creates joyful, colourful worlds from little paper cut-outs and drawings on her farm in rural Wales. Her work has appeared on books, packaging and textiles for the likes of Mini Boden, M&S, Liberty and Anthropologie alongside her own brilliant line of products ✂️

It all started in the bathroom of a tiny Vancouver flat in 2012, a screen printing operation fuelled by peanut butter, and The Printed Peanut was born.

14 years and many projects later, she’s still a one woman show, and her first ever solo exhibition is currently on display at Yorkshire Sculpture Park 🖼️

On the 5th August Louise will be joining Small Fry to talk about her story, from finding her creative voice to wholesale, licensing, publishing, social media and putting on her first solo show!

Small Fry Presents... the wonderful Louise Lockhart, AKA Louise Lockhart 🥜🖼️✂️

In this talk, she’ll take us behind the scenes of publishing children’s books, creating products as The Printed Peanut, and curating her first solo show.
