Months of planning came together beautifully last night as friends, family, and guests gathered to celebrate Simeon’s Taurean 60+ Tax birthday at Bojangles Brasserie.
I arrived as a guest, so recording the evening wasn’t planned, however, seeing the crowd, hearing the music, and of course, seeing the incredible lineup of DJs, I knew I had to pull out my phone and capture those special Kodak moments. In the words of Beres Hammond, “What A Night.” From the very beginning, I knew we were in for something special, the music selection, smooth interaction and collaboration between the DJs, their engagement with the crowd, and the visual elements incorporated into the performances all created a fitting tribute to Simeon’s birthday celebration. A special mention also goes to PA Kitty Cobin (People In Love) from North West London, whose live performances added another beautiful touch to the evening and made the celebration even more memorable. All in all, it truly was a night to remember. The DJs kept the crowd moving and the energy flowing all night long. Praises and appreciation to Governor General (Conscious FM), Brothers Inc, DJ Pepper & Danger B (Special Touch), Nigel B & WJ Goodgrooves, Principle Fats, (Gloucester FM) Mosty Gee, ( Equation Roadshow) for delivering outstanding entertainment.
Simeon and Linda were exceptional hosts throughout the evening. Their interaction with guests, checking in on everyone and ensuring people were enjoying themselves, reflected the warmth and unity of the occasion. We all came together as one to celebrate with them.
Simeon’s acknowledgement speech, along with his cheeky banter directed at individuals who have made and continue to make an impact in his life certainly did not go unnoticed. One moment I particularly appreciated was his recognition of Linda. Simeon highlighted how Linda motivates, elevates, adds value, and continually supports him, witnessing such togetherness and genuine partnership between a couple was truly beautiful. Special thanks also to the Bojangles management team, Site Manager Akin Tola, Terri-jo Masterson and her amazing bar staff, the security team, and the ticket attendants for your dedication and hard work in helping to make the evening such a great success.
A memorable night, filled with music, love, laughter, appreciation, and togetherness.
