Jennie has more than a decade of professional experience as a singer and pianist and has performed alongside some of the biggest names in music, as well as appearing on BBC1’s Pitch Battle.

Thinking about joining a choir this September? 🎶

Maybe you’ve been tempted before, but wondered… What if I’m not good enough? What if I don’t know anyone? What if I can’t read music?

Here’s what you need to know:

✨ There’s no audition
✨ You won’t be asked to sing on your own
✨ You don’t need to read music
✨ And you definitely don’t need to arrive knowing what you’re doing

You’ll meet your Choir Director, find your place in the room and learn everything together, surrounded by people who are there for exactly the same reason: because they love to sing.

Feeling a few butterflies before your first session is completely normal. You only need to be brave for long enough to walk through the door.

We’ll take it from there. 💛🎵

Good afternoon one and all! 👋 I’m alive - just! 😂

Where to start…

Firstly with a huge thank you, to our amazing choir members, for all the hard work you put in to make the show as fabulous as it was. Your dedication to the music is second to none. And your care and empathy for one another shines through. Last night’s showcase was a total team effort. I was in awe.

Then there’s your fantastic Choir Directors who also worked so hard to rehearse you, get you into position on the night and deliver a fantastic performance. I can’t thank them enough. I just love working with them and I hope you saw how much fun we have if you came on Friday night to The Big Big Collab. They led the pop ups with flair and showed the people of Cambridge just how good you all are.

There’s also a huge team behind the scenes. From our side: Tess, Tam and Jubilee smashed it. Their first show with us and we couldn’t have done it without you!

This afternoon I have a very warm glow. These events are hard work but the sheer joy they bring to me, the team, to all of you and our audiences is more than worth it.

A man, Peter, who I’d never met before stopped me in the street late last night to say “I needed that.” He meant the show and how he felt after watching it. The gift we gave to him. I knew just then our work was done.

It’s why we do it. To help people step into a safe space and make beautiful sounds with others. From the heart. It’s infectious. And probably the best fun you can have with your clothes on. 😳
