My master's collection of 4 demitasse espresso cups can be seen at the Shoreditch Design Festival in London until the end of this week!
These pieces were designed digitally through Rhino then 3D printed, moulded and cast in pewter and ceramics.
The surface design on the pewter piece was created from a chintz pattern and aims to link the two historical practices of each craft.

A massive thank you to the
for supplying me with the pewter, without them this project wouldn't have been possible.

I can't believe this year is already over, it's gone by so quickly! I've met some amazing people and had a fantastic time πŸŽ‰

Some sneaky peeks at some of the textures I've been working with in my final collections. Can't believe it's my last week already, feels like I've only scratched the surface of my master's!

Just a little post to update show what I've been getting up to.
Its a bit of a lengthy process but I'm so happy with how this project is going. I have a month left of my master's then I'll be done with education...maybe...?
I created the pewter piece through rhino, it was then 3D printed and silicone moulded. I've been able to get my hands on some scrap tankards which were melted down then used to cast into the mould.

Had the pleasure of showing Keith around the MA ceramics exhibition this evening! My face can't lie, I was admittedly star struck, nonetheless I enjoyed sharing what the group has accomplished so far πŸ˜„

Shouldn't be too long now until I can slipcast into this and see all of the beautiful textures the 3D printer has created.

Some final renders of my most recent hand in! What do you prefer the red or black? β€οΈπŸ–€
These pieces have been designed and rendered entirely in Rhino 😍
They started as expanding foam, we're scanned into my computer, the textures were unwrapped in Grasshopper then applied to the shape I wanted.
Decals and lustres emulate how they will look when they're completed.
These have been 3D printed and I've started making moulds of them today! Can't wait to show you some updates.

Delicious glaze time 😍 I can't get over how stunning these are, I love the blending of these two glazes over my textured surfaces. I was inspired by the combinations of glazes created by the talented .stone and thought I'd give it a go!
Can't wait to try these out on bigger pieces πŸ˜„

Guess who had a fantastic few hours of throwing!
I was very lucky today and had a one on one masterclass with the very talented Margaret O'Rorke and managed to throw the biggest I've ever gone!
Safe to say I've got a lot of cleaning up to do πŸ˜‚
