My master's collection of 4 demitasse espresso cups can be seen at the Shoreditch Design Festival in London until the end of this week!
These pieces were designed digitally through Rhino then 3D printed, moulded and cast in pewter and ceramics.
The surface design on the pewter piece was created from a chintz pattern and aims to link the two historical practices of each craft.

Just a little post to update show what I've been getting up to.
Its a bit of a lengthy process but I'm so happy with how this project is going. I have a month left of my master's then I'll be done with education...maybe...?
I created the pewter piece through rhino, it was then 3D printed and silicone moulded. I've been able to get my hands on some scrap tankards which were melted down then used to cast into the mould.

Had the pleasure of showing Keith around the MA ceramics exhibition this evening! My face can't lie, I was admittedly star struck, nonetheless I enjoyed sharing what the group has accomplished so far 😄
