CALL OUT FOR WRITER 📝
- To work with director and devisers to develop script for “Why Dirty Dancing is My Favourite Film” - a show investigating a-spec (aromantic and as*xual spectrum) experiences and media representation
- You would be the lead writer of the script
- We are putting on a work-in-progress show on 29 and 30th November at Camden People’s Theatre
- This is an unpaid opportunity as we do not currently have funding, but we will be working towards a funded full production

We are looking for someone who:
- Is Q***r (particularly A-spec)
- Has experience working with a collaborative, devising process
- Has good understanding of writing for theatre / performance
- Has interest in multimedia and non-traditional forms
- Has availability during September to October 2024 for workshops and writing (we have flexibility with scheduling)

💜🖤 As*xuality is not represented on the UK theatre scene, and we want to change that! 🖤💜

Burning Attic’s next project will be a devised theatre show about ace identities and media representations of them!

Weaving together a patchwork of personal stories and confessions from as*xual people, aromantic people and everyone in between, researched through interviews and youth workshops, an all-q***r team will explore the ace spectrum and challenge our societal scripts about love, s*x and relationships.

At this early stage, we'd love to hear from any q***r - and particularly ace - devisers/writers/performers who are interested in getting involved in the team. Just DM us or email Florian (they/them) at [email protected] We’d love to hear from you! 🫶
