Made for the Middle East. Sold out before the Middle East could get its hands on it. Somehow, I’ve got two sitting in the UK.

new MTP-E735AR Arabic Dial Collection only landed recently, created specifically for the Middle East & Africa market.

And that’s what makes this release interesting.

I’m already seeing collectors from the region trying to find them. Stores are showing no stock, people are asking where they can actually buy one, and the watches are barely available outside the market they were designed for.

Meanwhile, somehow, Deep Blue and Ice Blue have both made their way to Fich & Ramous in England.

There’s something beautifully backwards about that.

The watches themselves are fantastic: Eastern Arabic numerals, those heavily patterned arabesque dials, Arabic/English day wheels and two completely different shades of blue.

But I’ll admit it the exclusivity is what got me.

A Casio you’re not really supposed to have in the UK, while collectors in its home market are still hunting for one?

Yeah. That’ll do it.

Which would you keep?

“This little part of my life is called happiness.”

I kept thinking about that sentence while looking at paintings.

Because strangely, very little actually happens in them.

No people. No obvious narrative. No grand event asking to be understood. Just rooms, doorways, mirrors, paintings within paintings, distant landscapes and light falling exactly where it needs to.

And yet they feel full of something.

McCaffrey paints places that don’t exist. They are imagined interiors, assembled from memory, art history and fragments of architecture until they begin to feel less like rooms and more like memories of rooms.

Perhaps that is why they feel so familiar.

We tend to imagine happiness as something enormous the achievement, the arrival, the moment everything finally makes sense.

But most of life isn’t lived there.

It is lived in fragments. A particular light through a doorway. A view you stopped long enough to notice. A room you felt strangely comfortable in. Ten quiet minutes you didn’t realise mattered until much later.

Maybe happiness is rarely the whole picture.

Maybe it is simply this little part.

The dangerous thing about perspective is how easily we mistake our own for reality.

We see somebody’s reaction, their choices, their pace, their successes, their failures but almost never the full set of circumstances that produced them.

Two people can stand beneath the same sky and experience entirely different weather.

Perhaps understanding begins when we stop asking, “Why aren’t they handling it the way I would?” and start considering that they may not be standing where we are.

Art has always fascinated me for this reason.

A hundred people can stand before the same painting and no two will leave with exactly the same thing. The work hasn’t changed. The person looking at it has.

We don’t see the world simply as it is.

We see it through everything that has happened to us before we arrived.

And maybe empathy is nothing more complicated than remembering that.

Decorated is easy.

You buy the sofa.
You pick the cushions.
You find something for the wall that “goes.”

Everything matches.
Nothing moves you.

Collected is different.

Collected has tension.
It has instinct.
It has a point of view.

It is the piece that interrupts the room without ruining it.
The one thing people notice before they know why they noticed it.

That is what great art does.

It turns a space from arranged to remembered.

A decorated room can look expensive.
A collected room feels considered.

The right artwork changes the temperature of a room.
It gives a hallway presence.
It gives a living room rhythm.
It gives an office authority.
It gives a hotel lobby a reason to be remembered.

This is where curation matters.

Not just choosing art.
Choosing the right scale.
The right tension.
The right placement.
The right story.

Stop decorating.
Start collecting.

Your walls are telling on you.

You can spend money on the sofa, the table, the lighting, the flooring and every little detail in the room.

But if the walls are empty, badly filled or carrying the wrong art, the whole space still feels unfinished.

Art is not just decoration.

The right piece gives a room presence. It creates a talking point. It adds taste, story, confidence and identity.

That is where Fich & Ramous comes in.

We help source, select and place art for homes, businesses and collectors who want their space to say something.

Stop filling walls.
Start building a collection.

“Spark” (2024) by is exactly what the title promises.

It’s not just colour, it’s movement. Like the street’s been turned into a pulse. Those bold black lines hold everything together like a framework, then the blues, reds and oranges hit like neon through rain. You don’t “look” at this piece, you feel it switch the room on. Walk past it once and it pulls you back. Get close and it turns into a hundred little moments stitched together.

This is the energy we’re bringing into 2026. Not safe walls. Not polite art. Work that gives a space a heartbeat.

And this is the kind of work you rarely see on UK gallery walls. Too many spaces are boxed in by publisher-led programmes and conservative release schedules. We operate beyond those limitations, sourcing with an open mandate and curating without the usual constraints, so your collection isn’t shaped by someone else’s rules.

Fich & Ramous sources and curates pieces for homes and businesses using our trade access and gallery relationships, so you can build a collection properly, with guidance, without the theatre.

- Foul Ball (2023)

That split second after impact.
A kid still holding the bat, looking up, not sure if it’s a mistake or a moment he’ll remember forever. The cracked glass isn’t just surface drama, it turns the scene into a memory you can almost hear: the snap, the hush, the inhale from the crowd. Quiet, tense, and strangely tender.

Foul Ball is a limited edition print (edition of 192), produced on watercolour paper with broken glass elements and hand-drawn digital illustration, framed and ready to hang.

We’re building a collection, piece by piece. Not noise. Not filler. Works with presence. If you’re curating for a hotel, workspace, private residence, or you’re starting your journey as a collector, we can source and advise through our trade relationships and trusted gallery network.

The Majesty of Mountains by

This one hits like fresh air.

The sky is alive, full of light and movement, then it settles into that quiet valley like everything’s been put back in its place. And that small house by the water is the genius of it. It’s subtle, but once you see it, the whole scene turns personal.

This is the direction at Fich & Ramous now. A proper collection, shown properly. One piece at a time, with the details that matter.

If you’re sourcing artwork for a home, hotel, office, or a space that needs to feel considered and elevated, contact us. We curate and place works through trade links and handle the process end to end.

A study in controlled chaos. PAINTING-07A explores the collision of motion and restraint a visual system where energy, line, and colour operate in tension. Each layer is drawn, pulled, and fractured with deliberate imperfection, creating the illusion of spontaneous order.

The work’s palette cyan, magenta, crimson, and black moves like electrical circuitry across the surface, revealing rhythm within disorder. This piece invites the viewer to decode movement as language; to read emotion through pattern.
