Great Ormond Street Hospital has played a huge part in our lives as our son, Otto, underwent several open-heart surgeries as a baby & toddler. With regular check-ups, scans, exercise tests and MRI’s over the years the hospital becomes part of you.
It has been an absolute pleasure to return to the hospital, this time to facilitate inspirational monoprint workshops for GOSH Arts Culture Club Programme for NHS staff. Thanks to the team for making it all possible and to for funding the project. Thank you, to for being a wonderful assistant, helping with logistics and the smooth running of each workshop!
‘An intuitive, experimental approach to colour and mark-making in a relaxed environment. The perfect tonic for creative play to nurture health and wellbeing’.
It has been humbling to teach the sessions in the calm atmosphere of the rooftop room and provide creative relaxation time for staff to switch off and enjoy. Thanks to all the staff who signed up for the workshops, it has been a joy to hear all the positive feedback
“Such an amazing workshop! This was so great to de-stress and have the opportunity to try something new. Would love to see them back, thanks so much” - GOSH staff participant
The life changing treatment of seriously ill children and the care and compassion of the staff at GOSH are second to none. We will remain forever grateful to all of the staff who worked so diligently to provide treatment and care. Now under the supervision of Adults Congenital Heart Centre, Barts, Otto is a thriving adult soon to be 25 yr old.
