A special delivery to The Wey Gallery ✨

A new collection of my gold-leaf British wildlife, along with a few of my larger wildlife pieces — the lion and chimps 🦁🐒

It’s always lovely seeing the work leave the studio and come together in a gallery, especially seeing them all together like this.

All now available through The Wey Gallery, Godalming 🤍

PRESENCE 🦁

My latest large-scale wildlife painting.

There’s something about a lion that doesn’t need movement or drama to command attention. The gaze says it all.

I wanted this one to feel powerful, still and impossible to ignore.

Original oil on canvas. 100x100cm

The Gold Leaf British Wildlife Collection ✨

Six iconic British animals, brought together in a collection celebrating the beauty and character of our native wildlife.

Detailed oils meet shimmering gold leaf for a contemporary twist.

Each piece framed in black with gold detailing and available individually.

Which one is your favourite? 🤍

Work in progress 🦁✨

Happy Sunday!

I’ve found myself painting more animals lately. I’ve never wanted to pigeonhole myself too much as an artist, even though that’s meant to be best for your identity. I love painting my landscapes, but I also love having the freedom to follow whatever inspires me.

Bringing this magnificent lion to life in the studio. I’m at that stage where the character really begins to emerge, building the depth in the mane, refining those eyes and adding all the little details that give him his presence.

Still a little way to go, but once complete he’ll be heading to The Wey Gallery in Godalming as part of my latest wildlife collection.

Introducing two pieces from my new Gold Leaf British Wildlife Collection ✨

Celebrating the beauty of British wildlife, painted in oils against luminous gold leaf.

The Robin and Kingfisher will soon be available at The Wey Gallery, each presented in an elegant black and gold frame.

They can be purchased individually, but I especially love how beautifully they work together as a pair.

More from the collection coming soon ✨

Untamed Spirit 🐅

The sister painting to my leopard, Silent Majesty! Two portraits exploring the quiet strength and beauty of these magnificent big cats.

With this tiger, I wanted to capture his powerful presence alongside the softer details.

A moment together in the studio before he heads out into the world. Thank you Ian Ian Boichat for fantastic photography 📸

LIFE OF AN ARTIST! 🎨✨

It might look chill and glamorous from the outside… BUT the reality is spending long crazy hours on one “tiny bit”, obsessing over details nobody else will ever notice, and becoming emotionally attached to the very paintings I’m trying to sell 😂

Wouldn’t have it any other way though. ❤️
