Racism on screen is so LOUD. stereotyped roles defined the Hollywood film industry since its birth in the early 1900s. Not only production teams are reluctant to hire or award minorities..
We’ve seen and still see on screen portrayals of Asians as nerdy, black men as dangerous, Latinas as fiery and Arab men as terrorists / barbaric and Arab women as belly dancers or maidens.

Rarely, so rarely are Black or brown people represented in a positive manner in Hollywood or Western films. The ways in which these films portray Arabs goes to the extent of dehumanizing them.

What’s been happening on screen is LIVE today and everyday on the streets.

So in the hope of things to change , and protestors to be heard . Let’s listen, read, reflect, understand and HELP. Black and brown lives matter. ✌🏼❤️
