Happy Earth Day 🌎

Specifically from Eno, Bo and Lux- our Mission Earth characters and the team behind this show!

We had wonderful start to our tour with already 250 children from Croydon Primary schools joining us in the mission. We celebrated today with more Missions- this time in Thornton Heath!

Mission Earth is a hopeful story that empowers children to care for the environment. Equally it was important to us to keep the production as sustainable as possible.

Here are 3 main ways in which we made this production aligned with our commitment to more sustainable ways of working:

🌎 Touring locally and excluding long distance travel
🌎 Commissioning costumes that are fully made of second hand garments
🌎Opting against printed promotional material- all our audience development is done through relationships with local primary schools and via digital materials

🌍 We are very happy to share that we received National Lottery Project Grand for Mission Earth 2026! 🌍

Our climate-focused school performances will tour to Camden and Croydon Libraries engaging Primary Schools local to the libraries!
The project is funded by Arts Council England, with support from Camden Libraries, and Croydon Libraries.
We’re excited to work with libraries and schools to engage young people in creative and hopeful conversations about our planet.

We are delighted to share that we have been awarded £12,140 of funding from the National Lottery for Active Moves: Youth Dance Class for young people. Thanks to everyone who plays National Lottery games for your support, and a huge thank you to Sport England: Movement Fund for awarding us this grant.

This means that more young people will be able to dance with us, and we will also have bursaries available!

We were lucky to have the wonderful photographing our last rehearsal before performing “Solace” at DanceWest Fest at produced by last week!

Time to introduce our directors;

Ania Straczynska- Founder Director

As the founder and director of SE19DanceProject she is dedicated to creating inclusive, community-rooted dance experiences that empower participants through movement. Her choreographic approach is informed not only by her creative practice but also by extensive training in inclusive and accessible arts education which allows to ensure that projects are welcoming and responsive to diverse needs.

Time to introduce our Board of Directors;

Hannah Kidd- Director

Hannah began her training at Elmhurst Ballet School and went onto London Contemporary Dance School where she completed her BA Hons and her MA. In 2007 Hannah joined Richard Alston Dance Company, with whom she performed for six years both nationally and internationally. As a freelance dancer she has performed for many renowned choreographer’s, notably Merce Cunningham Company, Russell Maliphant, New Movement, Collective, Didy Veldman, Ashley Page, Wayne Parsons Dance, Darren Ellis Dance and Mark Bruce Company. 2016 saw Hannah nominated for the National Dance Award Outstanding Female Performer.

In 2019 Hannah was commissioned to create the Rambert Grades Syllabi, where she is now in post as Head of Education and Examinations. Alongside this, Hannah lead’s the artistic vision of Rambert School Prevocational programme’s.

Kathi Palitz- Director

Kathi is a Trinity Laban alum and fundraising professional with a wealth of experience across the arts, charitable, and education sectors. In her current role as Head of Philanthropy at Dulwich College, she drives initiatives to grow legacy giving, strengthen engagement, and expand access to education through bursaries.
