From prototype to a finished piece // my Medium Cube
A 30/30/30cm dynamic, 7-piece cube was originally made during the last few days of my MA at the Royal College of Art, trying to make the most of their glorious workshop I’ve ever had access to.
Originally built from plaster (first image), then moulded into plaster moulds and casted in clay. Sometimes I wonder who is this girl with so much energy making these laborious pieces… and so it goes

Last few days have been a bit like a rollercoaster // I have a slight inflammation in my wrist from over working it, which means I couldn’t really do much work in the studio / new work was successfully delivered to and it is sitting beautifully in the window / and so on.. for now- here is a slight change of colours for this grey day. Might travel next week, must soak some sun 🪸

When I create a new installation, I consider the colour combination for quite some time. The harmonic movements of the shapes cannot truly exist with proper colour combination // although breaking a palette or making a monochromatic arrangement is also something in my mind 🤍
What colour combinations shall I make next??

This works is sold as a whole, made out of 8 cubes (total of 40 components), dynamic and looks the same but different from every different angle, keeps you on your toes :)

I want to write about how things can always change, it seem different from different point of views. But I think what I like about these two images is how similar they seem, at first glance. And only once you notice the colours are aligned differently you notice it’s just a different angle -of the same cube. Or should I say multi cube.
This installation is made of 8 cubes in total. Each cubes consists of 5 component, a total of 40 components. All dynamic, which is something that I care about when working with ceramics.
Photo taken during a rainy day, so light is soft and no filters and such. I’m just not very good at that

My Summer palette is taking shape // been working on this for quite a while, searching for the right tones, thickness of glaze and colour combinations.
I think I’m keen on exploring the shapes further, how each cube works on its own and how they all work together.
Really excited for this piece that will be showing in Alveston Fine Arts in Noting Hill, during collect week 🤍

Growing up in a stone house in Jerusalem left an impression, and fostered my love for stone, marble and natural rock formations. I was always out playing with dirt or anything I had in front of me, usually nothing too fancy. After I moved to England, and saw the beautiful rock formation different regions developed, and then in south of France, I remembered, what my dad did for our back garden. He searched for a very long time for a specific type of stones so he could pave the garden, he had a very specific idea in mind. They had to be brought in above the fence with a crane and we had to work with each stone at a time, deciding where to place it. Depending on its size. The stones were massive and could not be cut or broken in pieces. My dad had this idea in mind that with time this small green Jerusalem plant will grow in paths between the stones, filling up the negative space. And it happened. I remember I was really eager to see how it will look.
As I slowly unravel my childhood I realise my work is greatly inspired by those stories, and my childhood view, Jerusalem. I miss it there 🤍

Picture is my newest body of work, sun available
Last image is my parents rear garden. My bedroom window was looking into the the garden
