We’re midway through the first week of UNFORGETTABLE - THE NAT KING COLE STORY. This beautiful new play with music examines the relationships between Nat King Cole and his wife, his music and the racial tensions in America during the 1940s, 50s and 60s. It is both funny and moving with truly touching performances from Kwame Bentil and Alicia Charles. It’s running for three weeks in our air conditioned theatre so come along for a cool evening of top quality entertainment!

Tonight is the first of your two chances to catch Episode Four, this time written by none other than our Artistic Director, Luke Adamson, who really needs no introduction.

It’s June in Penge West and the most boring man in Penge, Reg Eccles, has been tasked with organising the Penge Festival fete. Cafe owner Tony Butcher is concerned about his partner Guy who has been very distant recently and keeps disappearing. Tim McAllister is still searching for justice for his brother; the other Mr McAllister, following his unexplained death in series one. Local psychopath Scarlett Morden has teamed up with her cousin Maya bland to wreak havoc on Penge while Maya’s dad Jeff tries to work out who the father of Maya’s maybe baby might be. It’s all going on! Come along to join in the madness and have some fun!

Opening tonight, for one week only!

“What is it about becoming thirty that gives everyone universal permission to ask when you’re going to reproduce?”

Inventive, physical, funny and achingly human Am I Losing My Mind Or Just My Figure? comically explores life, pregnancy & parenthood and is a must-see for anyone navigating the complexities of modern womanhood. The play follows Fin, a freelance illustrator working a zero-hour contract as a cycle courier, whose free-spirited and unconventional approach to life is often at odds with the expectations of those around her. Her discovery in her late twenties that she is pregnant leads her to confront her own belief systems and examines the othering of expectant mothers.

Tonight!

It’s your first chance to catch Episode Three, from the pen of Andrew Hobbs, directed by Johnny Handscombe and featuring lots of your favourite characters created by Tim Connery.

The crazy Scarlett Morden meets Maya Rose Bland as Maya attempts to connect to her hidden Morden roots. Tony and Guy’s cafe is stretched as Guy becomes more and more distant and keeps disappearing… And rumour has it that episode could see the return of Dylan Essex for the first time this season! Could there be a Billy Joel-related surprise or two in the works? And will there ever be Justice For Mr MacAllister?
