This gallery is fascinating for anyone involved or interested in the applied arts, craft or design. There is a strong link to contemporary designs through a vibrant exhibitions program, and William Morris's ethos is becoming more and more important in the present day.

We are grateful for the continued support of Arts Council England and delighted to announce that we will be part of their investment programme for 2023-6.

This will allow us to develop our programme of exhibitions, our learning and skills activities and strengthen our connections with local communities in Waltham Forest. We’d also like to express our support for everyone that applied, and especially to the many who have not been successful this time.

β€œI do not want art for a few, any more than education for a few, or freedom for a few” – William Morris

I am in love with this building 😍 The King Abdulaziz Centre for World Culture. I visited for the first time and spent two hours in a fantastic library discovering contemporary Arab fiction in both English and Arabic. I travelled through the most beautiful spaces, encountering beautifully curated exhibitions about Arab Culture, Islam and the natural environments of the region. I will go back to discover more about the energy production exhibition, the theatre, cinema and spend more time working in the library. I felt so relaxed and truly inspired by what I saw. A fabulous experience. The architecture is phenomenal.

2022.....a collection man-made plastic objects becoming part of the landscape, weather and worn away by the elements, becoming awkward parts of a natural world. The things are sent accross the ocean from other people. Washed ashore and dumped with out an invitation. A shame in such a beautiful place.
