Reflecting on my recent supervision course with BAAT, I’ve come away feeling reflective, inspired and grateful for the experience. It offered such a valuable space for learning, discussion and creative exploration, and the opportunity to share space with a group of art therapists from a wide range of experiences, which felt really special.
This image emerged after the second day in response to the depth of material explored around frameworks, standards, concepts, understanding organisations, different supervisory models, and the phases and dynamics of group supervision.
Notes made:
Splash - intensity, emotional release, depth, heaviness, movement, disruption, ripple, impact beyond the initial moment, storming phase, anxieties, burn out
Bubbles - pop anytime, change, uncertainty, fragility, individual voice/ thoughts/ experiences, temporary, supervisees existing together but separate, feeling visible and hidden, containment vs fragmentation, tension between connection and individuality, risk aware, balance, relevance, limits, respect, transparent, different dimensions, relief
Water- fluidity, bleeding, movement, change
