MEETUP:
https://www.meetup.com/London-Music-Showcase-Gigs-Drinks/ Something is happening…

The best way I can describe it is like one member said to me:

‘Tim - It’s like freshers week, every week, but better, with bands and stuff…’

and that’s how it’s been over the last 6 years since we created this group. It’s honestly the most fun we’ve had and I’m inviting all of you - Everyone of you because something’s been happening for a while now and you just don’t know about it. It’s a Showcase of some of the Best London bands playing their music in London - and it’s also a MEETUP group, so you will get to watch the gig with a mix of regular members and newcomers. It’s an awesome line-up and at one of the Top Venues in London - Great place for a beer, meet new people and see some amazing unsigned bands! 🙂🍻

We’re a friendly mix; French, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and English people so I’m sure you will meet someone that shares a passion for Rocking Music.

***IMPORTANT***

The Meetups are TICKETED EVENTS usually:

£10 Pre-Sale / £14 On the Door (Unless indicated)

👀 Something is happening…

The best way I can describe it is how one member said to me:

‘Tim - It’s like the best night of our week, every week. We get to meet new people, see great bands and there’s always a good vibe and stuff…’

And that’s what’s been happening for the last 8 years since we created this group. Whether you’re brand new to the city, looking to expand your social circle, or just love great live shows, you’ve got a place with us. It’s a showcase of the best unsigned London bands, wrapped inside a massive, friendly MEETUP community so you can watch the gig with a mix of regular members and newcomers.

🎉 Nervous about coming alone? No problem at all! Most people show up solo for their first time. We host every event with a dedicated reserved area/table so everyone can break the ice before the music starts.

Look for the MEETUP SIGN or ask the host on the door when you arrive, and we’ll introduce you to the group! 😄🍻

I don’t consider this a job because if it was a job, then I wouldn’t recommend it - there’s zero security, the amount of money you make is dependent on the weather and there’s plenty of times you’ll turn up, barely make costs or worse lose money 😳
Imagine going to your job for a 7-8 hour shift and then going home losing money 😂🍷

I’ve also had to deal with all sh*tty aspects of promoting…
From venues not being able to use a calendar properly, bands cancelling last minute, turning up drunk, late to gigs, headline acts threatening not to play unless I paid more money - it really is the most unprofessional business you could ever imagine.

There’s a lot of animosity between bands and promoters but the Simple fact is: the music industry does not pay at this level.

The gigs game is a gamble. As promoter, I gamble on a lineup I think is capable of meeting costs and hope for the best. The only income is in ticket sales and these have to be generated by Venue / Bands / Promoter working together - there’s a lot of risk involved and if the night fails to make cost then it’s the promoter that loses money.
Even the best of lineups, on a cold rainy day will barely make cost.

Thankfully I have a real job because if I had to rely on promoting to pay the bills then I probably would have to adopt a model like *********** 😭

Having said that, I am looking for hosts and promoters to help with the gigs. The LMS could be doing 7 events per week but I don’t have the time to organise everything and physically be at all the gigs myself. These are paid roles.

I’m looking for people that are interested in live music and putting on quality nights and bands. You should have a good vibe and positive attitude, capable of holding a conversation and looking after a large group. This would ideally suit musicians like yourselves who know how the gigs go, what to expect and possible problems.
This is flexible and part time so can be an additional source of income, however these roles are only offered to people I have actually met so please don’t message me if we haven’t - come to a gig 🙂🍻
Dm for info.

🎃👻 HALLOWEEN SPECIAL EDITION! 👻🎃
🎶‼️ THE ULTIMATE LONDON GIG MEETUP! 💣‼️
💥 London Music Showcase – Halloween Night! 🦇🕯️

There aren’t enough emojis for this, so I’ll keep it simple: BE THERE… IF YOU DARE. 😈
If you’ve been to the MEET-UPS over the last 7 years, you’ll know what it’s all about — but this one’s different. The ghosts of gigs past are coming out to play… 🕸️💀

So come down, bring your friends, your foes, your inner vampire 🧛‍♂️, and definitely bring Granny — she’ll want to rise from the grave for this one. Whatever it takes, don’t miss it 😄🍻

💣 Something wicked is happening…

The best way I can describe it is like one member said to me:

“Tim - It’s like freshers week, every week, but better… with bands, costumes, and stuff.” 🎭🎸

And that’s how it’s been over the last 7 years since we created this group. It’s honestly the most fun we’ve had — and I’m inviting every single one of you because something’s been brewing beneath London… and it’s ready to explode this Halloween night. 🎆🕷️

It’s a Showcase of some of the Best London Bands playing their music live — and it’s also a MEETUP! Come on your own or bring your coven 🧙‍♀️. Meet awesome people, have a pint (or potion 🍺✨), and soak up the spooky vibes at one of London’s top venues.

🔥🚒🙂🍻
