Missing People Choir

Missing People Choir The Missing People Choir is a community of singers with experience of 'missing'

The Missing People Choir was formed in 2014 with the aim of using music to build a community of support and connection for families of missing people. In 2017 the Missing People Choir reached a global audience when they reached the finals of Britain’s Got Talent, bringing two missing people home to safety thanks to the publicity it generated. After a short break, the family members are hoping to s

ing together once more and are looking for new members with personal lived experience of ‘missing’ to join them when the choir re-launches in September. The choir is run by a group of families who have experienced the disappearance of a loved one, supported by the charity Missing People. The choir recently had the privilege of singing at the . We were joined by the wonderful Bank of England Choir which was a fantastic, uplifting experience for us all. The staff welcomed us into their prestigious venue and took time and care to get a deeper understanding of the trauma and despair that Missing can cause. Our choir members Peter, Ros and Violeta spoke from the heart about their experiences and we want to thank them for their bravery and candour in helping raise awareness of Missing.

Here’s a clip of us singing one of our favourites at Gardeners’ World in Birmingham - Sweet Child Of Mine by Guns’n’Roses. It’s a very poignant and personal song for our members, some who are missing a child and have been for many years.

We will be performing it at the upcoming Arts Evening, organised by Missing People which is takjng place on Friday 29th May 2026, from 6:30pm at 22 Bishopsgate, London, EC2N 4BQ
