Dear Patrons and Esteemed Folk,

As the Artistic Director of Parchment Sword Stone, I find myself in the unenviable position of delivering difficult news. In light of the current circumstances, we are compelled to conclude our run of SMITE ahead of schedule.

The following performances of SMITE have been cancelled:

Sunday 4th Matinee
Sunday 4th Evening
Wednesday 7th Evening
Thursday 8th Evening
Friday 9th Evening
Saturday 10th Matinee
Saturday 10th Evening

All ticket holders have been contacted and informed of the circumstances, and further steps will be taken to ensure a good custom and honest exchange.

The live performance landscape, as we all know, is currently a challenging terrain to traverse, and sadly, SMITE has felt the brunt of these trials.

However, let me take a moment to celebrate our achievements. Our pride in successfully running SMITE for Three weeks during these trying times is boundless, buoyed immeasurably by the unflagging support of our audiences.

A Wise Man said of late that “Running a production akin to SMITE at this time is comparable to stacking cards on a storm-ridden battleship while under fire.”

Despite the daunting challenges, I am deeply honoured to stand beside such a remarkable crew. These fine folk, whose dedication to their craft is unparalleled, have consistently exceeded their call of duty. Their talent is the heart and soul of our endeavour, and I am wholly confident of their future triumphs.

It is with profound gratitude and love that I thank you all on behalf of the entire Parchment Sword Stone team. Your enduring support fuels our creativity and fortifies our resolve. And so, we move into our final week, sooner than we envisaged, but as committed as ever to honouring our pact with you, our audience - your decisions shape your journey, and we are proud to share in that journey.
