Meet our Lighting Designer. Nikita is a dancer, painter and performance maker based in London. Currently studying MA Performance Making at Goldsmiths University of London (UK) and a graduate of Contemporary Dance at the National Dance Academy in Rome (Italy).
Her work is inspired by a social reflection on the body as product of technological regulation and how movement combined with light and materials can mystify the bi-dimensional effect of technology on human sensorial perception.
Coming from a visual arts background she strives for creating imaginary spaces through movement, lighting and sound as main tools for her research.
In 2019, Vera Stasi offered her a choreographic residency at the Supercinema Tuscania for which she founded the idea of Non Kommunal Territory. This space is meant for collaboration between non-mainstream arts and people, based on the concept of using discarded objects and ideas as fuel for new collaborative work.
As a swimming instructor, gardener, lighting designer, horse rider, Nikita is always excited for learning new things.
