❤️Life throws all kinds of experiences our way, some beautiful, others deeply painful. But one of the hardest things to face is when someone you love projects their own hurt or regrets onto you, through criticism and lies, it stings, and leaves you wondering: Is this something I should confront?
❤️The truth is, not every lie, or cruel comment in the guise of 'calling a spade a shovel', deserves a response or energy as sometimes, the most powerful response is no response at all.
❤️I’ve come to realize that when people lie or lash out, it’s about fear, denial and their own inner pain, not mine.
❤️ So today I pause, and remind myself that I'm not defined by someone else’s wounds. I know my truth, even if they don't and I choose peace, calm and some beautiful forest bathing 🌳🌳❤️🥰🥰
