Camilla Glorioso () IS IN CHIEF.
Fotografa italiana, terminati gli studi allo IUAV di Venezia e al London College of Fashion, ha lavorato come agente fotografica e producer a Londra.
Dal 2019 si dedica full time alla fotografia, sviluppando una serie di progetti legati a quella che definisce “archeologia visuale affettiva”. L’attenzione verso la quotidianità propria e di chi la circonda si traduce in una ricerca fotografica a lungo termine quasi archivistica, volta a recuperare segnali emotivi e note che raccontino la storia delle persone attraverso gli oggetti a cui sono legate, spesso trattando il paesaggio come quinte teatrali ed il materiale d’archivio come soggetto.
All’interno di questo ciclo: My Closest Friend, Scenario e Familiar: Archivio Affettivo Siciliano.
Tornata in Italia nel 2020, Camilla fa ora base a Venezia, dove continua a sviluppare progetti fotografici personali e commissionati, in Italia e all’estero, con una speciale predilezione per l’arte, l’artigianato, la cucina e la moda. Ha recentemente lavorato con Courier Magazine, Travel + Leisure, Financial Times, Vogue Italia, Sali e Tabacchi Journal ed esposto a Londra, Arles, Venezia, Padova e presso la galleria Lunetta11 in occasione di Arvest! Photo Fest.

*Are you ready? It's the Christmas orders chat!*

I still refuse to move my shop on any Facebook platform and I am constantly ranting about how Instagram has lost its identity becoming a marketplace, but here I am blabbing about how good would it be to get your friend a limited edition print by yours truly for Christmas. Contradicting, I know, but times are what they are, and Facebook Inc knows we all think we have something to sell at the end of the day.

So here we go, I said it, we are talking about Christmas presents indeed, and in particular about orders! Have a browse on my shop online or contact me directly for a specific request if you've seen something you like on my website or Instagram, happy to discuss sizes or chat about a tailored framing or printing idea!

As we will all likely spend Christmas far away from each other, you can also request to get a handwritten message on the verso of your print, together with the edition number. My handwriting is not as iconic as Duane Michals’ or Coco Capitán’s but it is decent and neat, I promise.

I went to Poste Italiane near Rialto last Friday to ship some orders and the lady behind the counter looked at the addresses I had written on the envelopes and very suspiciously said "UK, you can't write UK dear, what is UK now? How are we going to understand where you want to ship your stuff? You gotta write GRAN BRETAGNA, G-R-A-N B-R-E-T-A-G-N-A."
Right...thanks Miss.

Order today and I'll ship your orders tomorrow with "Gran Bretagna" instead of United Kingdom written on the envelope. Bargain!

Together with The Court zine, another project involving a gathering that went up in smoke in the past couple of months is a Sunday Print Sale at mine, to give away some work from the archive and test the grounds for some new editions to be.
I've sold fine art prints on and off in the past, with a couple of good peaks that made me think I should actually set up an online shop, to then consider that it wasn't the right time, it wasn't the right thing. Shoulda, coulda, woulda.

Like all creatives, with all sources of income frozen and projects not yet flowing again, I am having to work out what the future will look like and explore all routes available, even if they are half set.
So, thanks to the enormous amount of time available in the past weeks, the shop is ready!
