We're excited to announce Stand Up at Stanley — a brand new festival curated by Daniel Kitson with Stanley Arts, featuring 28 work‑in‑progress shows across two days in four unique performance spaces, plus a finished evening show in the Main Hall each night.

Work‑in‑progress shows are loose, patchy, fascinating and often experimental — the perfect way to see favourite comedians and discover brilliant new voices before many head up to the Edinburgh Fringe in August. Most WIPs are just £8 in advance; evening headliners in the Main Hall are £15 in advance.

Croydon, we’re coming together for a day of climate action, creativity and community at The Stanley Arts Community Assembly 2026 🌱

We’re excited to welcome incredible local groups who are building a fairer, greener future right here at home:

Sustainable Thornton Heath — championing repair, reuse, low‑waste living and community climate action.

Croydon Greenpeace — empowering residents to take action on global environmental issues.

Croydon Community Energy — our stallholder and speaker, leading local renewable energy projects and community‑owned solar power.

Croydon Climate Action — mobilising residents, schools and organisations to shape a resilient, nature‑positive Croydon.

We’re also joined by Tim Coombe, Chair of Croydon Community Energy — a long‑time advocate for community‑led climate solutions.

Expect conversations, workshops, performances, youth activities, and a free veggie/vegan lunch.

Through movement, visual storytelling, humour and a touch of chaos, Boxed In explores the invisible rules of behaviour, the way people act and what others think you should do – and invites us all to imagine a world where everyone feels they belong.

Boxed In is a playful and thought-provoking journey about feeling left out, not because you’ve done something wrong, but because the world doesn’t always play fair. It’s a story for anyone who’s ever felt a bit confused, a bit left out, or a bit boxed in.
