New Diorama Theatre is an 80 seat theatre based just off Regent’s Park in the heart of central London. Unique in the capital for our development and support of emerging and established theatre companies, in our first three years we've welcomed close to 55,000 audience members to theatre productions, readings and other events. tination for London theatre-goers” (Time Out) and was awarded two consecutive prestigious Peter Brook Awards for the first two years of our programming. We were recently named 'Most Welcoming Central London Venue' at the 2013 OffWestend Awards. Productions created for and with New Diorama Theatre have transferred to festivals, and countless venues around the country and internationally. Camden Youth Theatre is back with a new vision of teenage utopia.

The Place We Made
29th & 30th May

Twelve teenagers have had enough.

School is unfair, adults don’t understand them, and the world is a hostile place.

So they decide to make their own world. Deep in the wilderness of the Scottish Highlands, they find each other — escaping their realities in search of a new way of being. But tensions rise, and it gets harder to trust one another as the realities of life off-grid bite. How long will their secret last? And will they make it through together?

Devised by the members of Camden Youth Theatre in collaboration with CYT Director Omar Bynon, The Place We Made explores the utopias we imagine for ourselves in all their wildness, freedom, and complexity.

“Somewhere, outside the logic of time itself, Tina and Zack find each other. And they pedal together on an impossible journey. Sliding through time in search of something very precious.”

Through epic battles with dinosaurs, a high-stakes jig with Henry VIII, and the uncovering of a spooky Ancient Egyptian tomb, Zack and his time travelling Gran Tina take on the quest of a lifetime — and what they discover changes Zack’s understanding of life forever.

A riotous, playful, and poignant adventure for 7-11 year olds about family, loss, ageing, and the power of the imagination. Created by award-winning Breach Theatre in collaboration with children across Camden.

Our primary school commission returns for an incredible fourth year in partnership with Camden schools, supported by Camden Council and British Land.

In 1990s Peru, a brutal military coup ushers in a decade of dictatorship under the rule of Alberto Fujimori. In the home of General José and his devoted wife María, altar boy Jesús prepares diligently for his first communion. But as the biggest day of his adolescent life approaches, the hot man on the cross makes him feel something…unholy.

Catholic guilt collides with unrepentant queerness in this sinful, heart-pounding mix of live music, dark humour, and Latin heat. If Bo Burnham, Bad Bunny, and Bertolt Brecht had a baby, this would be it.

An absurdist, existential examination of the psychological and physical unravelling of Alec Baldwin – not the real one – as he grapples with a pervasive sense of nausea towards himself and the desensitised digital society he inhabits.

Summoning the internet as the deep dark woods of our cultural imagination, this is a shapeshifting journey through cached nightmares, a conjuring in the comments section, and a reckoning with all the things you were too young to see or understand.
