FS REG è lieta di annunciare il lancio del summer course sulla redazione di contratti in lingua inglese.

Si tratta di un corso di due settimane progettato per apprendere come redigere contratti in lingua inglese utilizzando le clausole e la terminologia corrette.

Il corso, che è specificamente indirizzato a studenti di giurisprudenza, praticanti e avvocati che non hanno studiato legge in una giurisdizione di lingua inglese, ha lo scopo di fornire le competenze e la professionalità necessarie per redigere correttamente contratti in lingua inglese.

Gli argomenti trattati durante il corso includono:
- Le principali differenze terminologiche che caratterizzano la contrattualistica nell’inglese del Regno Unito e quello degli Stati Uniti d’America;
- Restringere ed espandere la portata e l’applicabilità di una obbligazione contrattuale attraverso la redazione della relativa clausola;
- Significato e corretto utilizzo di termini legali comuni quali representations and warranties, joint and several liability, gross and simple negligence, best efforts and reasonable efforts, ecc.;
- Redazione e comprensione delle c.d. boilerplate clauses, quali indemnities, term and termination, entire agreement, severance and waiver, counterparts, ecc.;

Due sessioni pratiche, di cui una focalizzata sulla revisione di un accordo di riservatezza (confidentiality agreement) e l’altra focalizzata sulla revisione di un accordo di fornitura (supply agreement).

Il corso ha una durata di 2 settimane e si svolge attraverso 2 sessioni a settimana, di circa 1 ora-1 ora e mezza ciascuna.

Le sessioni saranno interattive con ciascun partecipante incoraggiato a porre domande e partecipare alla discussione. Il materiale di lettura sarà fornito in anticipo e durante il corso.

Ogni lezione sarà impartita da Giuseppe Giusti, solicitor registrato in England and Wales e avvocato in Italia e negli Stati Uniti, con quasi 20 anni di esperienza nella redazione di contratti in inglese maturata lavorando a Londra prima presso un primario studio legale britannico e poi come managing partner di FS REG (https://www.linkedin.com/in/giuseppe-giusti-5a68a85b).

We are pleased to announce the launch of our Summer Course on Contract Drafting in English. It is a two-week course designed to teach you how to draft a contract in English using the correct clauses and terminology.

The course, which has been specifically designed for law students, trainee lawyers and junior lawyers who have not studied law in an English speaking jurisdiction, is intended to ensure you always look competent and professional when you draft a legal agreement in English.

Topics covered during the course include:
* Differences between English and American legal drafting;
* Narrowing and expanding the scope of a legal obligation through drafting;
* Meaning of common legal terms such as representations and warranties, joint and several liability, gross and simple negligence, best efforts and reasonable efforts, etc;
* “Boilerplate clauses” such as indemnities, term and termination, entire agreement, severance and waiver, counterparts, etc;
* Two practice sessions, one focused on reviewing a confidentiality agreement and the other focused on reviewing a supply agreement.

The course will start on Tuesday 9 June 2020 and finish on Thursday 18 June 2020.
