At the recent Textile Talks organised by Weavers Studio, our artistic director Sangeeta Datta offered a compelling into the world of Rituparno Ghosh — where were not just aesthetic choices, but a powerful language of storytelling.

Through costume, fabric, and design, she unfolded how Ghosh crafted a distinct visual identity in — one that blurred boundaries between character, culture, and self-expression. Congratulations Soumik Datta
and band on a spectacular, gripping performance of Travellers at the Purcell Room last night. The sold out show was both cerebral and deeply emotive, looking back at histories of migration and the growing intolerance to people moving across borders. This production is shaking apathy, connecting music with the world around us and what is going wrong. Reminding people that music has no borders and has everything to do with love, tolerance, memory of what is lost and hope for the future.
Kudos to the superbly talented musicians!
