The day the fashion and design archives at the Victoria and Albert museum in London acquired my work. Many moons ago I was commissioned to do a mural for pioneer British designer Mary Quant in her atelier in the Kings Rd. I sketched her and her models in her studio as they worked, and the mural was a procession of people in her designs, along the upper walls of the boutique. The lovely folks at the were looking through my paintings and sketches here, while my daughter and I looked on… this was in March but it was not until yesterday that we received a letter from the V and A saying that they would love to have the work! I am so thrilled that my work is now available for people to see a part of fashion history

Hi all, our last event of the show, a (non-alc) after work opportunity to Chek out some great and affordable art, to the beautiful tones of live ambient flute music! moving into the 1980s and 1990s....
1. Light Shining Through: this is a small gouache painting that i'm very fond of... as another artist reminded me recently, "It's good to like your own work." I think it's pretty essential.
2. Pink hair flying: the opposite end of the spectrum, a free flowing large pastel painting.
3. Woman on a bench: oil on board, from observation. The exhibition shows a lot of my work from life as well as my "vision" work.
4. A watercolour, which requires a greater degree of control than most people realise. This one of a butterfly has a partner painting that goes with it... you'll have to come to the exhibition to see!
all these and more are on sale at the exhibition, on till Oct 2.

some work from the early 1970s. I liked to make observations on daily life, and imagine other dimensions and how they coexist with ours... who knows what is out there while we live on, oblivious? These are a few of my favourites, but there's more to be seen, at the exhibition... open for 2 weeks starting tomorrow.


My retrospective exhibition is on at 54 The Gallery, 54 Shepherd Market, Mayfair, from 20th Sept-2 Oct.
