🎶 So what’s in the box?! We’ve got an incredible Jazz cover of Sade’s ‘Love is Stronger Than Pride’, and then we’ve got this mesmerising dub-techno take on ‘You’re In My System’. Straight from the 313, by one of the greats - Scott Grooves.

If you don’t know about the man, the artist, the visionary then go and check out his discography which dates back almost thirty years!!

🎶 It’s not every day that one of your favourite producers sends you stuff in the post…

A day that I was feeling pretty low, I got a knock on the door and a parcel thrust into my hands. I’d ordered a couple of records so didn’t think much of it until I went to open it.

Realising it was from the states I eagerly opened it wondering what was inside. If you know me and my work then you’ll know I have a massive affinity for Detroit music, and is one of my absolute favourite producers and artists from the city.

Hastily opening the box was a handful of goodies..artwork, a single-sided, pink velvet stickered 12” vinyl and a little 7” white label. Also forgot to mention the little badge tucked away at the bottom of the box.

Reading the insert carefully typed out by Scott himself, it explained the musical art within. A cover of Sade’s ‘Your Love is King’ featuring Ian Fink on piano and Ben Rolston on the double bass.

And that 7”? You’ll just have to wait and see….
