I am heading stateside end of the month for a boutique show expo. Although smaller than a lot of its peers it has dealers I trust who aren’t hiking prices to offset the cost of the convention.

If there is a book you are looking for let me know and I can send pictures and prices over the weekend and if you like it I’ll bring it back by hand.

When I created illsun Comics I wanted to do something with my passion, knowledge and ability as an alternative to my day job. Over the last year the two have converged which is fun but I still love the business I built on my own!

Custom labels are a taste.

Not everyone loves them.

This to me is brilliant, from the ill fated signing most of the labels that exist are either blue or missing George. This copy must have been submitted as a reholder during that period to have the label.

This Batman run and his work on NTT was a huge part of my early collecting so to get both on this ultra rare label in a 9.8 white was worth every penny in over spent on it!!!!

I’ve been having a battle with a fraudster he agreed a deal waited for the book to arrive and then hit me with a number of conflicting complaints.

Wrong address - I sent to his PayPal registered address
Never arrived - he signed for it…
Empty parcel - I photographed the book on the scales.

As soon as I got the complaint I called him to understand the issue and try and resolve it. He didn’t answer.

DM’d him - left it on Seen

If there was a problem he never discussed it or proved anything and let’s be clear I’m pretty easy going and would always help an unhappy customer. An Unhappy scammer less so.

Sean Jones and Cortina Jones of Quebec Canada attempted to defraud me out of $8K book. Plain and simple.

Why am I posting this? Two things:

1. please avoid this scammer who has also been barred from eBay.
2. If you run a small business look at where your weakness is. With no CashApp/Zelle/Venmo in UK I am reliant on PayPal for selling AND buying. Over the next year I’ll be doing everything I can to reduce my dependence on PayPal who have been slow, opaque and still had my acct frozen even though I got scammed. I’d encourage anyone who runs a business with a corporate dependency whether that is Meta, Google, PayPal whoever - lower your risk asap.
