Mostly I sketch with colouring pencils, but recently I've taken to oil pastels and watercolours. They're just the cheapest ones, no need for artist quality stuff when you're rough sketching 😅 here's a little collection from this summer's trips to Annecy, Yorkshire and Sydenham Arts 🤓

If you are familiar with my previous rainy day photos then you will know I love finding reflections in pools of water. This one is of my local park the Horniman Gardens in Forest Hill, London, before construction of the new playground/café. The autumn leaves scattered on the surface of the water give a lovely texture and colour palette, as well as adding depth. The bandstand can be seen nestled in the lower left corner. I often get asked what I did to the image, but I haven't made any edits to this or any of my other photography, other than to turn it upside down. The photo is exactly as shot. 👌🏼🤓
