Something a little different from me today… 🦩🌸

Meet my Flower Flamingo on a 40x40 canvas.

This piece has evolved through many layers and techniques, which is one of the things I love most about creating with Powertex products. I started with a rice paper image before building texture behind it using Powersmooth mixed with Black Universal Medium.

Next came Ivory Universal Medium combined with 3D Flex, which I sprayed with Red Bister. Once dry and beautifully cracked, I gently wiped back the Bister to reveal all that wonderful texture and character.

I then created Stone Art Clay using Ivory Universal Medium, adding even more depth and dimension to the piece. Using Transparent Universal Medium and 3D Dust, I pushed back some of the red tones and highlighted the cracks to naturally frame the flamingo.

To finish, I brought the flowers to life with acrylic paints, added a touch of gold dry brushing for warmth and sparkle, and completed the finer details on the rice paper with acrylic pens.

I absolutely love how the textures, cracks and colours work together to create something vibrant and unique.
