Assynt Entertainments Assynt Entertainments is a new group which has been set up to organise events in Lochinver Hall, to As always, we need as much support as we can get. Thanks.

We are now in our second year and all being well, the Hall will receive funding from the Lottery this year to make long overdue improvements. This will not be confirmed until mid-March but we have been guaranteed that we will have the summer months to hold events, as will anyone else wanting to book the Hall. So we will try and make the most of the time we have this year and put on as many events

as we can. Then we can look forward to using the Hall once again (funding permitting) once it has had a complete refurbishment. This is to support Lochinver Hall, so please support any event which is put on.

We would like to thank everyone who came along to our Quiz in the Culag Hotel last Saturday. We hope you enjoyed it. Also many thanks to those who contributed prizes for the Raffle.
A special thanks to Ken and Sheila at the Culag for their hospitality and for providing chips for everyone at the interval, free of charge. All this was very much appreciated. We made £185 which is great. Hope to have another one in the Autumn.

Hope everyone's coming to our last event of 2013, next Friday night! (8th) Black Umfolosi 5 have been here before and everyone I've spoken to who saw them is going again, they enjoyed it so much. Let's make it a great night as it's the last "gig"!

Good news for next year. If Lochinver Hall is successful in its bid for a Lottery grant, work will not begin until mid August which means we can now go ahead and start booking events for 2014! It was only confirmed last week so up until now we've been unable to confirm anything.

We are not putting anything on for Hogmanay. Members of the group discussed this and no one wants to give up their New Year basically. It's not just having the event, you have to go down and clean the Hall the next day. Nothing stopping someone putting something on themselves though! :)

CRASH BANJOS ARE NOW CONFIRMED FOR SATURDAY, 25TH MAY. This is a brilliant night out with music for everyone and they never fail to fill the floor. It's also our first Gig folks, so PLEASE come along and support it, we're counting on you to make it an excellent first night for us! Times, prices etc. on here and posters out soon!

We are delighted to confirm that Skerryvore are now booked for Lochinver Hall on Friday, 28th June. Tickets will be on sale at the door that night and not beforehand. More details nearer the time.
