The Academy Theatre Group Llanelli's oldest musical theatre group, running over 35 years. Rehearsals - Mondays and Fridays, 7:30pm at Glenalla Hall New members always welcome.

The Academy Theatre Group was established in 1981 by Peter Sharp (Director) and Diane Williams (Musical Director). We are the Oldest Musical Theatre group in Llanelli and in the past, staged three big productions, Two Musicals a Pantomime and Revues throughout the year. Our home was the Theatre Elli Entertainment centre in Llanelli. Nowadays we perform one Big show April/May in Y Ffwrnes Theatre L

lanelli, and smaller productions during the year at The Best Western Diplomat, Llanelli. We rehearse at Glenalla Hall every Monday and Friday at 7:30pm. We are a non charity group therefore do a lot of exciting fundraising events to help us put on our performances. Subscriptions are payable every rehearsal to cover overheads. Contact us via here

What a night it’s been for us all at The Academy, a fantastic show from start to finish, the standing ovation said it all! We’ve had a wondering time performing our favourite songs from the last 35 years for you! A massive thank you and well done to our cast, crew, band and everyone involved, we couldn’t have done it without you! From everyone at the Academy, “thank you for the memories!” Who knows what’s coming next, watch this space!!

We at the Academy are deeply sadden by the passing of our Vice-President Byron Jenkins. Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with his family and friends at this sad time. Byron will be truly missed❤️
