After fifteen years in the Conwy Valley, we relocated Ffin y Parc Gallery to Llandudno in March 2024. Since then, we have settled into our new premises in Trinity Square and the gallery has grown and developed. We have twelve brand new shows each year showcasing the best of Welsh art, in a space that is bright, elegant and accessible.
Until very recently we were still living at the old premises, keeping it company while we waited for a new owner came along to take on the next phase of its evolution.
When we found the old Bryn Derwen, it was a forlorn and decaying ex-Residential care home, but its character and potential were obvious and irresistible. The house looked after us well, and we enjoyed (nearly) every moment of the time we spent living and working there. We couldn’t have dreamed that it would provide us with such a perfect setting for our gallery, and so many wonderful memories.
Now, after a few false starts, the building has finally found new owners. They are as excited as we were almost 20 years ago! The house, looking out across the Conwy valley has so much potential for anyone with imagination and enthusiasm. I have no doubt that the place will soon be thriving and full of life once more.
And we are now able to focus fully on the Llandudno gallery and to begin work in earnest on our new project which will be coming during 2027! Change is exciting. New challenges arise and new adventures await…
We wish the new owners of Bryn Derwen luck and happiness, and we look forward to seeing what they get up to!
