Oriel Ffin y Parc Gallery, just outside Llanrwst in North Wales is one of Wales' premier and most exciting commercial fine art galleries. We present regular exhibitions by some of the finest artists currently working in Wales alongside the best of 20th Century Welsh Art.

After fifteen years in the Conwy Valley, we relocated Ffin y Parc Gallery to Llandudno in March 2024. Since then, we have settled into our new premises in Trinity Square and the gallery has grown and developed. We have twelve brand new shows each year showcasing the best of Welsh art, in a space that is bright, elegant and accessible.

Until very recently we were still living at the old premises, keeping it company while we waited for a new owner came along to take on the next phase of its evolution.
When we found the old Bryn Derwen, it was a forlorn and decaying ex-Residential care home, but its character and potential were obvious and irresistible. The house looked after us well, and we enjoyed (nearly) every moment of the time we spent living and working there. We couldn’t have dreamed that it would provide us with such a perfect setting for our gallery, and so many wonderful memories.

Now, after a few false starts, the building has finally found new owners. They are as excited as we were almost 20 years ago! The house, looking out across the Conwy valley has so much potential for anyone with imagination and enthusiasm. I have no doubt that the place will soon be thriving and full of life once more.

And we are now able to focus fully on the Llandudno gallery and to begin work in earnest on our new project which will be coming during 2027! Change is exciting. New challenges arise and new adventures await…

We wish the new owners of Bryn Derwen luck and happiness, and we look forward to seeing what they get up to!

David Grosvenor - New Works - Launching 4th September 2026

David was one of the first artists to join us when we opened, and we have been exhibiting his work regularly for over 15 years. It is always a pleasure to have a new collection of his accessible and inviting work.

He is equally at home working in oils and watercolours, observing and painting his twin preoccupations: The landscapes of North Wales which have fascinated him now for over 40 years, and his garden and the products of his labours there!

His subject, though familiar is always changing. When illness prevents him from being out in it, sketches and photographs as well as memory allows him to inhabit the landscape in its mercurial moods: the constant changes wrought by the light, the weather and the seasons.

The work also, inevitably varies according to the interior landscape: Sometimes the sky presses down and mist closes out the distances and banishes all but the most muted and fugitive tones At other times the colours all throb with clamorous intensity.

Practice and experience has made him adept at catching the stillness of winter, the vivid vigour of spring, and the late night summer skies stained with faraway dust.

David's work is always popular, and he has many collectors. His work is unassuming, but it speaks eloquently of the pleasures and wonders to be found all around us. https://welshart.net/exhibitions/293-david-grosvenor-gwaith-newydd-new-works/works/

As part of the Summer Mixed Exhibition we have a series of new work by Carl Melegari. His paintings arguably focus as much on the medium of paint and how it reacts with the surface as they do on their subjects. Powerful works - A must see! https://welshart.net/artists/126-carl-melegari/works/

Summer works from Barry Stedman.
Starting with thrown forms or slab made constructions, he deforms and scores his work. These tactile, sinuous forms are instantly appealing, and dynamic. Vibrant colours applied with a painter's eye, evoke nature and landscape. He creates harmony or jarring dissonance, depending on his mood. Bright shiny glazes reflect the light and bring the surfaces to liquid life. The Summer mixed exhibition runs until the 28th August. Open Tuesday - Saturday 10-5 https://welshart.net/exhibitions/292-sioe-haf-summer-show-mixed-exhibition/works/
