We had a wonderful afternoon on Saturday raising money for Down Syndrome Ireland as part of their Ice Cream Funday events! ☀️

A big thank you to Lisa and everyone at Dons Bar Moate for hosting us, and to our very own Ger Kennedy for making sure we had plenty of ice cream to go around. 🍦

The fundraiser marked the end of another amazing year for our choir. From a sold-out Christmas concert, to our trip to Wales, our appearance at the RTE Drama Festival, and our nomination as part of this year’s Cathaoirleach Awards, we have certainly been busy!

We would like to thank all our choir members and everyone who has supported us throughout the year.

When our choir was established, its core aim was to provide a social outlet for communities across the Midlands while raising money for charities that do so much to support those who need it most. Saturday was another shining example of that mission in action.

Thank you to everyone who came along, donated, and helped make the day such a success. 💙🎶

📣Cathaoirleach Awards 2026

🏆We are delighted to announce that the Annual Community and Cathaoirleach Awards celebration is now in its 20th year and will be taking place in Belvedere House and Gardens, Mullingar this Friday the 5th June 2026.

⏰You are all invited to join the virtual streaming of the live event this Friday the 5th June starting at 7.00pm, Please tune in and cheer on all the nominees and winners on the night with us.

The event will include:

As we come to the end of our choir semester, we hosted a quiz night for our choir members!

Congrats to the winners, and a big thank you to our Quiz Master - Jimmy Redmond.

A big thank you also to Dons Bar Moate for hosting us for the evening. Don has been a great supporter of our choir this year and as a token of our appreciation, a donation was made on behalf of the choir for his upcoming fundraiser in aid of South Westmeath Hospice.
