🎱 **MRC Rated Handicapped Singles League – Round 1 Complete**

The opening round is in the books, and what a start to the season it was.

🔹 **Jacob Baylis 7-4 Graham Hicks**

The headline match of the evening saw Graham race into an early 3-0 lead. Jacob found himself under pressure from the start and was forced to change his approach. A more tactical game plan helped swing the momentum, with Jacob eventually taking control to secure a 7-4 victory.

🔹 **James Willson 7-0 Heulyn Greenslade**

A dominant display from James, who produced the first whitewash of the season. With his Ultimate Pool competition just around the corner, James looked sharp throughout and never allowed Heulyn a way into the match.

🔹 **Brian Hammond 7-3 Josh Bartholomew**

Brian showed exactly why he sits amongst the top-rated players in the MRC system. Despite Josh battling hard, Brian's experience and consistency saw him come through with a convincing win.

🔹 **Jamie Sherwood 7-3 Stuart Williams**

The scoreline doesn't tell the full story. Stuart started strongly and many of the frames could have gone either way, but Jamie found another gear when it mattered most to claim the victory.

🔹 **Callum Thomas 7-6 Nevil Pritchard**

The closest match of the night went right down to the wire. Callum edged out Nevil in a tense decider to secure the opening points of his campaign.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in Round 1. The road to the top has begun, and there are plenty more twists and turns to come.

The latest ratings are in and the Leaderboard is beginning to take shape. At the top, Jacob Baylis continues to lead the way with a rating of 658.18, opening up a gap over the chasing pack. Graham Hicks remains in 2nd place, while James Willson rounds out the top three after becoming the first player to pass 150 recorded matches.

Further down the rankings, Nevil Pritchard and Paul McCambridge complete the top five, while the battle for positions in the middle of the table remains incredibly tight.

🏆 BOUNTY HUNTER CHAMPION 🏆

Congratulations to Jacob Baylis, who claimed the Bounty Hunter title on Friday night.

James Willson knocking out Paul McCambridge and collecting the bounty. In the final, Jacob put in a strong performance to defeat James and take the bounty and Friday night title.

A great night of pool with plenty of quality frames played throughout.
