We are officially just 14 days away from Saturday, September 19th! The town is buzzing, the banners are going up, and final preparations are well underway for Llandovery's biggest day of the year.

Vote for Your Favourite Window: Stroll through town and spot the sheep displays for our Shop Window Competition, don't forget to vote at Pethau Pawb by Sept 17th!

The Drovers are Returning to Llandovery!
Once upon a time, the streets of Llandovery would have been filled with drovers moving huge flocks of sheep, cattle and even geese on their long journeys to market.
This Sheep Festival, we're bringing a little of that history back to life โ€“ and we need your help to make our flock!

With the help of Pethau Pawb Llanymddyfri, local children are invited to create their own fabulous, fun and upcycled animal costumes before joining our Drovers' Walk through the town on festival day.

โ€ฆor use your imagination and surprise us!

Gather your flock! Children will take part in small groups, with one member becoming the drover responsible for getting their unruly livestock safely to market. Friends, siblings and families can get together and decide who'll be the animals โ€“ and who gets the all-important job of keeping them under control!

On festival day, our drovers and their livestock will make their way down Stone Street and into Broad Street before arriving at our very own Drovers' Market, where we'll recreate a little of the hustle, bustle and fun of market day.
So gather your gang, choose your animals and decide who's going to be the drover...
Then get your flock to market!

Here is everything ewe need to know to make your journey completely stress free!

By Car: Llandovery sits right at the junction of the A40 and A483. Free parking is available courtesy of Llandovery Town Council. If the main spaces fill up, head to the free overflow parking at the agricultural market car park behind Castle car park (Postcode: SA20 0AW / what3words: ///expires.rewriting.skirt).

Accessibility: Once parked, everything in the town centre is flat, easily accessible, and within short walking distance.

By Train & Bus: Skip the drive entirely! Llandovery station is on the scenic Heart of Wales Line, just a brief walk from all the festival action. Check local bus connections or plan your train route at tfw.wales.

Join Sian Cornelius Books at the Dragon's Garden for an enchanting afternoon of folklore, myths, and music accompanied by the harp.

Sian Cornelius has been storytelling for 15 years, sharing ancient Welsh myths and fairytales. She will be sharing the story of Ceridwen, reclaimed for all the wise women before us, as well as the beloved local tale Llyn y Fan Fach.

The countdown is getting serious, we are officially just three weeks away from Saturday, September 19th!

If you're starting to plan your visit to Llandovery, here are a few quick reminders to help you make the most of the day:

Plan Your Travel: Leave the car behind and take the train along the Heart of Wales Line straight into Llandovery Station, or take advantage of free town parking.

Get Competition-Ready: Finalise those entries for the Village Show and keep an eye out for the Shop Window Competition displays around town!

Bring an Extra Bag: With dozens of food, drink, wool, and craft traders setting up, you'll definitely want room to carry your market hauls home.

How to Play: Get hands on with the fleeces and submit your guesses.
The Prize: Get them all right to earn a raffle ticket for a baaaa-rilliant bundle featuring something to wear, something to sit on, and a voucher for the Kings! ๐ŸŽ
