THE CARAVAN WHEELS ARE TURNING. Some paintings have sold :) Which ones - see below. Thank you to my customers.

What is art? Well, a simple answer would be - it is the attempt to share your experience with others.
I have decided I would like to share my good fortune with others, so OCT will be my first charity fundraising month.
20% of any sales made during October will go to charity -
10% to Ferryfield House, an Edinburgh home caring for dementia patients
and 10% to Rebecca Dalgleish's Just giving page.

What do paintings look like in a house? Luckily with new technology, we can transport our possessions, our art, ourselves- if we want -into different room settings to see what they might look like. UNLUCKILY, I am not that clever with technology. So I am going to ask for HELP. Please contact this page if you know how I could display some paintings in room settings which could show scale.

Back to work in the caravan! I am continuing to learn about black lol! Sounds silly, but just painting highlights means you have black spaces deliberately left. Your brain fills in the gaps better than any paintbrush. Here are some results:

Here are two other paintings. Black canvas seems to be quite an effective background. Also just painting highlights makes you appreciate the impact that spaces between the paint can have. Your brain fills in the blanks very effectively! Ps excuse the poor photography.

A word about SIGNING.
I have signed my paintings S Dalgleish and S F Dalgleish. However there is another S Dalgleish in Lothians who is a painter.
I will now sign my paintings SFDal. Easier choosing passwords lol!
