For the last 4 months, all I've heard is:

"Shannon, will you PLEASE do my back dermals?" 😅

Every single time, Lola was met with a firm "Nope!" (Dermals are the one piercing I just can't stand doing!)

Anyway... 4 months later, here we are. As usual, I caved. 😂

And honestly? They look SO cute! Lola wanted them as close to her back dimples as possible, so after some planning, we decided to place them in the dimples. ✨

10/10 stunning results, and Lola is finally off my case 🤣😁

I don't really do smiley piercings anymore, but I've performed this piercing on this exact client multiple times over the years, so it was hard to say no.

She loves it, and it was a great way to start the day!

*I'd like to note that I do not normally perform these piercings anymore. The only reason this was done is because she is a regular client, fully understands the risks involved, and has had it done before.*

On my way into the studio this morning, I walked past a high street pop-up shop using nothing more than an alcohol wipe to “disinfect” a pressure-system ( a piercing gun). No proper clinical waste setup, unsuitable jewellery being used, and clearly no professional piercing standards being followed.

Please do yourself and your body a favour go to professional piercers who are properly trained, use sterile equipment, and follow correct hygiene procedures. Your health and healing are worth far more than cutting corners.
