My first illustrated Vtes card

for Vampire the Eternal Struggle is officially underway!

Kaiser is the poster boy for Secrets of New York, and for good reason. His art is astounding and he is a lingering presence through the whole game trilogy.

This powerful Nosferatu is the leading information broker for everyone in New York. As it is made note in the source text that it's a well known secret that he brokers with Autarkis, Camarilla and Anarch alike, I'm a bit surprised they made him Camarilla in this version. But he's more Camarilla than Anarch, that's for sure.

His design here is defensive rather than offensive, in contrast to what I envisioned him as, but there is one core similarity: his ability leans heavily on the hand management and discard-as-a-tool theme that many, myself included, feel is in the core of how Nosferatu should "feel".

The general consensus between those chronically online is that Nosferatu have enough defensive tools, but offense is where they're lacking. Defense is however within the core identity established for so I have no qualms here. The effect is reasonably effective as well, as it should be for an 8-cap with no titles.

Protean feels like extra, and I'm not sure what he'll use it for besides Homunculus and the occasional Claws of the Dead. It's not a waste, but I'm not too excited.

Fortitude as a splash for elder vampires is a well established practice, which you can't really argue against. Even the lore in V5 says elder vampires often look for Fortitude as a splash within their repertoire to keep their extended unlives going.

Anyway, the pricing for him feels right, and the hand manipulation he brings to the table is very respectable.
