Crammed full of mouthwatering equipment, the studio boasts amazing rooms and a magical vibe, and thrives on a no-compromise approach to quality. Having been home to some of the worlds most prestigious bands such as Oasis, The Arctic Monkeys, Bring Me The Horizon, Ben Howard, Jake Bugg, The 1975, Blood Red Shoes, The Coral, and Grandmaster Flash, the studio is thoroughly steeped in British musical

history. It is currently the home of producer/mixer Al Groves (Bring Me The Horizon/Cast/Southern/Louis Berry/Etches). The Motor Museum revolves around a variety of stunning recording spaces, including a large live and stone room, the latter of which drawing clients from all over the country to record in. Fully kitted out to satisfy mix projects as well, you'll find a vintage Neve 8232 analogue console and stacks of top-end outboard. An exceptional spec highlighted by a vast range of terrific microphones, instruments and backline complete an outstanding package and cement it as the premier studio in Liverpool. Hidden away in an expansive day-lit warehouse in the fashionable Lark Lane district of South Liverpool, sessions thrive in this secluded and immensely creative studio, which is famous for its highly original themes; blending Mediterranean architecture with colorful and exotic decorations, creating an alluring inner-city studio paradise... Liverpool Music Month!

We can’t think of anything better than celebrating our incredible artists, venues and communities here in Liverpool - so much so, that we do it every day at the Motor Museum!

Tucked away on the beautiful and vibrant Lark Lane, it’s incredible to remember that the recording studio responsible for some of the biggest music gems of all time, like Supersonic by Oasis, is still in full swing!

The Motor Museum loves our city’s talented artists, historic live venues and bubbling communities. We are endlessly proud of where we are and Liverpool Music Community ♥️

We’re fans of unorthodox techniques. In art there is no right or wrong - so if you’ve got an idea, let’s try it!

Throwback to the sweet Circa Waves recording at the Motor Museum. Today we’re thinking of the studios founder, Hambi, who sadly passed in 2020. It’s because of him we have this incredible relaxed space dedicated to art. ♥️

There’s one thing you don’t expect to see in a recording studio… 🍋

Our incredible Mediterranean architecture and glass ceiling has always leant itself to growing luscious tropical plants! Don’t be fooled, the studio is closely temperature controlled to preserve our state of the art equipment, but the lemons seem to love it anyway!

The Las on the steps of the Motor Museum recording studio.

When pictures like this emerge, it really gives you the perspective on the journey of young musicians. This could be any band that has walked through our door. There’s something beautiful about knowing we all start in the same place :)

Arctic Monkeys - The Motor Museum

We recently came across this image of the Arctic Monkeys on an old Reddit forum, mistakenly labelled as another studio. In reality, this image of the band huddled behind the mixing desk of our studio, formerly known as The Pink Museum, is right here in Liverpool.
