Tate Liverpool is the home of the National Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art in the North of England, and is one of the largest galleries of modern and contemporary art in the UK, outside London. We also have an incredible shop selling beautiful gifts and a Tate café where visitors enjoy local, seasonal food with stunning views of the Albert Dock.

Don McCullin first visited Liverpool when he was 15 years old, working on a steam train that travelled up from London 3 times a week. He returned, years later, as a photojournalist to document the city in the 1960s, 70s and 80s.⁣ He became very fond of the city - he saw similarities in how people lived and his own childhood.
