ir Krunk stage will be wowing Summercampers with the weird and wonderful talents of Mamadou and Super Libador Band, Harlequin Dynamite Marching Band, Godwosh, Dead Hedge Trio, DJ Mime and Fox and Wolf. All of whom join The Joy Formidable, Delphic, Mount Kimbie, Martha Wainwright, Dutch Uncles, Ghostpoet, Ed Harcourt, Merchandise, Wave Machines, The Staves, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, We Were Evergreen, Marika Hackman, Josef Salvat, Fair Ohs, Poltergeist, Spectrals, Le Carousel and Roscius on the Summercamp line-up. And by day, we’re thrilled to announce full details of our kids events - curated by the lovely folks at Just So Festival. The Wild Rumpus will start at 11am and run through till the early evening, featuring a Lantern Making Workshop where you can come and create your own beautiful lantern from willow and paper, all ready to be lit on the magical Summercamp lantern parade later. We’ll also have live looped music, telekinetic powers, clowning and a dose of mischief as Ramshackalicious present FinkSoup - a tale of two mysterious, mind reading travellers called Mercival and Bile don’t you know. Keeping the theme musical, we’ll also have a light-up dancefloor where Fox and friends will host the Woodland Animal Disco - with prizes for the cubs with the best moves. Plus there’ll be storytelling with camp fires and sessions where you can come and create a feather headdress – essential wear for any campfire activities - which you can sport with pride at the grand Lantern Parade finale
In addition Liverpool Biennial presents The Experimental Music School - showcasing art, education and amazement for kids and big kids alike. We’ll have film screenings with live soundtracks in association with FACT, children's events in association with Just So Festival, The Kazimier Festival Gardens and afterhours gigs in The Blade Factory. Plus we’ll host a food festival curated by Simon Rimmer and Steven Burgess including: Street Food market, Teddy Bears Picnic, No Knives Or Forks, Fridgeraiders, Tree Huggers & Fussy Buggers, Food Slams, Gothic Midnight Feast and a gourmet dinner by two-time Great British Menu winner Glynn Purnell. Dreamt up by creative pioneers in Liverpool's wild west Summercamp is two days of music, food and arts for all ages and two nights of performance and revelry for nocturnal party animals - all hosted by Camp and Furnace and taking place as part of Liverpool International Music Festival, over August Bank Holiday weekend 2013
