What We Did Next

What We Did Next Musical Theatre Group What We Did Next is a group producing great theatre for and by the community of Liverpool.
(1)

It sprang up in the summer of 2008 from the realisation that the central Liverpool community had no focus to gather around in order to put on great musicals specifically, whilst having a rehearsal schedule that fits around people’s busy lives and also aiming to provide a vibrant social scene. Since our inception we have expanded into original writing, workshopping scripts and straight drama pieces.

Well, that’s a wrap on WWDN’s 2026 production of Come From Away 🌎✈️❤️

This week we have had the honour and privilege of telling this beautiful story of community spirit, kindness and the absolute best of humanity. We hope we did the residents of Gander proud.

It took a village to care for those 7,000 strays back in September 2001 and it has taken a village to bring a tiny part of Gander here to Liverpool….

A huge thank you must go to our masterful production team: Alice, Catherine, Kira, Rebekah and Charlie, who’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes for months to bring this together.

Our talented cast: Alex, James, Ben, Jack, Omar, Dan, Roz, Pam, Sarah, SJ, Holly and Emma, who’ve put their hearts and souls into these characters to tell this story.

Our incredible band: Sam, Callie, Ellie, Fiona, David, Aaron, Kathryn and Evin - talented beyond measure and our unsung heroes.

Our wonderful stage/tech team: Beth our lighting queen, Stephen on sound, Anna and Katie (swipe for her lovely little face) holding everything together backstage with tape and safety pins!

Our good friends on front of house duties: Liv, Rob and Rosie.

And of course the WWDN next committee who give so much of their time and energy to creating unique and high-quality production opportunities in Liverpool City Centre.

If anyone has been inspired by our production then please, come and join us!!! There’s a candle in the window and the kettle’s always on 🫖❤️

It’s only a few days to go until opening night of WWDN’s production of Come From Away! So if you haven’t bought your tickets yet... well why not? Just visit wwdn.co.uk/comefromaway to get yours now!

If you have bought tickets, here’s some useful info to know...

The show will be taking place at Make North Docks in Liverpool. The address is 34 Regent St, Liverpool L3 7BN.

There is free on-street parking nearby as well as the Love Lane car park a 10 minute walk away. The venue is about a 20 minute walk from both Moorfields and Sandhills train stations. And there are bus stops for the 2 and 56 buses within walking distance.

If you’re coming to one of the evening shows, doors will open at 7:00 and the show is expected to start around 7:30. If you’re coming to the Saturday matinee, doors will open at 2:00 and the show is expected to start around 2:30. Please give enough time to find the venue, get drinks from the bar, and get to your seats before the show starts.

The show is about 90 minutes long, and there is NO interval. We recommend going to the bathroom before the show starts so that you don’t miss anything.

There is no set seating, so be sure to get there in time for doors to guarantee a good seat. However, there are no seats with a restricted view so, wherever you’re sat, you’ll be able to see everything.

If you have any questions then please feel free to email us at [email protected] or reach out to us on socials.

See you soon!
