Hope Street Limited

Hope Street Limited Hope Street Limited - International Creation Centre Liverpool "A national pioneer keenly aware of the value of the vast resources on its doorstep."

Hope Street Limited was dedicated to the development of artists, artforms and arts in the community. Total Theatre. It was arguably the best place for emerging talent to flourish in Liverpool. Since it closed in 2018 after 30 years, nothing has replaced it. Its legacy speaks for itself. This award-winning organisation was central to the development of physical theatre, carnival arts, participatory

arts, young people’s theatre, international arts and cross art form collaboration. Many former trainees established their own award-winning companies, including Tmesis Theatre, Spike Theatre, RAWD, 20 Stories High, Wake the Beast and Ullaloom. Others went on to secure key positions in the UK's leading cultural organisations, including RSC, National Theatre, Trestle, Talawa, Complicité.

Peter Ward is chuffed to bits to introduce That Theatre Group, which creates work with and for older people living in care.

This furthers the work he produced for Nwoko Arts over the last two years resulting in Songs for Europe & Spring into Summer.

That Theatre Group is currently supporting Graeme Phillips' revival of Krapp's Last Tape at unity theatre.

Please like, share and show your support for That Theatre Group which provides meaningful engagement and joy to some of the most vulnerable and lonely people in our society.

Thank you... He looks forward to seeing you for a bit of Krapp at the Unity next week!

If you came to see our final production, you'll remember this video... they all sang live on stage to the backdrop of this video, definitely one of our highlights of the show!

We were quoted £3,800 from a clearance company to get shut of stuff. Since selling on eBay, giving on Freecyle and donating to ex-Hope Streeters and charities we've shifted so much stuff that the clearance company will now only charge £800. Good, eh? We still have good stuff to give away for nowt: tables, stationery, coffee makers, picture frames, kitchen rolls, book shelves. Drop by today or tomorrow 11-4 to collect.

Thanks a lot to all the people, friends, staff, collaborators and alumni that have taken the time to be in this film. And equally thanks to the many others that have not been able to take part, but you are all here in spirit.
