Brazuka Brazil-UK A not-for-profit organisation developing intercultural learning, artistic exchanges and projects within communities in the UK(katumba) Brazil and beyond.

BrazUKa is an organisation that believes in the transformative power of the arts, our key concerns are with the widening social divisions across the city. BrazUKa aims to bring about a greater level of social equality and mobility, in particular for young people with fewer advantages in Liverpool, as well as for the community at large. We work to build positive connections through artistic express

ion helping explore individual choice, opportunity and greater social currency. We utilize similar methods of social technology as those successfully utilized in the Brazilian communities “favelas”: by bringing together multi-disciplined arts practitioners to develop projects that engage with communities -from Liverpool, Brazil and beyond- Brazuka is able to deliver diverse programmes of learning and knowledge exchange that helps to ignite creativity and spark the imagination, nurturing self confidence, well-being and empowerment overcoming inequality. LIVEBrazil

Brings together creative organisations and practitioners-Batala, Movema, Capoeira Dança da Liberdade to name a few-with a common goal: to deliver free, regular informal educational events and workshops as a way to tackle some of the increasingly urgent urban problems affecting young people with fewer opportunities in Liverpool, informing and inspiring through cultural artistic exchanges, building confidence, community engagement and collaboration.

An events project that celebrates cultural diversity by promoting music and arts from Portuguese and Spanish speaking countries and their diaspora through the curation and promotion of shows, festivals and lectures.

Supports and facilitates the exchange of people from Liverpool and Brazil to study, volunteer and experience life outside their native country, helping to shape individuals, develop artists and bond communities.

Sprouting Sessions

Workshops that deliver engaging content to spark creativity and ignite the curiosity of young people and teachers alike. Facilitating further learning and personal development, our workshops deepen cultural connections and understanding, boosting self-esteem and confidence whilst helping to connect global communities together.
