We are 9 today! 🎂🎉🌟💙

Before the day is out, we wanted to express our complete and utter gratitude to our community, artists we have worked with, venues we have collaborated with and our wonderful audiences, who have supported us in abundance!

Our journey over the past 9 years would have been incredibly different without you all, and you have helped us shape Blue Balloon Theatre in so many ways, making it what it is today. 🥹🥰

After our move to Liverpool at the beginning of the year, we took a big and rather unintentional step back from producing work and creating content for Blue Balloon. Whilst unintentional, we can see now just how necessary a pause was, in order for us to settle in, consider the future of Blue Balloon Theatre and map out plans to create work in a way that felt authentic and sustainable to us.

What's most important to us, is creating and supporting new work, we've known that since day one! 💪🏻 And moving forwards, our focus will be geared towards that much more, which feels wonderful to say and share with you. ✨️

Naturally, there will be other changes as a result of this shift, but we'll share more on these along the way, so keep your eyes peeled! 👀

Thank you again for all your continued support. We can't wait to see what the future holds for and us and will continue to make it happen! 💙

Whilst this year's is a quiet one for us, we want take a minute to celebrate every single female-identifying artist that has collaborated with us in previous years and all the incredible work you have each continued to create.

We are a force to be reckoned with when we lift each other up and work together; creating a future of equality 💙

A little update 💙

Liverpool, we've arrived!

Whilst we adjust, settle in and rest wherever possible, our social media and emails will continue to be pretty quiet.

We are still here though, holding space for creativity in whatever capacity that takes as each day passes. 😌

🎄🎉 We're moving to Liverpool!!! 🎉🎄

We told you it was big news! 😎 Why else would we save it for Christmas day?

After sneakily sitting tight on this news for some times, we are thrilled to announce that at the beginning of 2025, we’ll be moving to Liverpool!!!

We have so much excitement as we prepare for this change of base, and this move will offer us a wonderful opportunity to re-establish ourselves in the city the company was founded and begin to create, collaborate and produce with Liverpool based artists, organisations and venues.

We hope you’ll join us as we venture into this exiting new chapter!
