Natalie is an acclaimed and seasoned artist, having deservedly won several awards for her innovative indie pop sound and voice, including BBC Radio 1 BBC Radio 6 Music BBC Music Introducing and Amazing Radio including gaining the BBC radio 1 playlisted award. 🌠

On top of all that; Natalie is a gorgeous soul, passionate about making space with us for women and non binary artists voices, and we couldn’t be more thrilled that she will be performing with us! 💌🎆💌

We Want Women is a voluntary run organisation with no funding where all the ticket sales go back to the artists. We couldn’t do this without your continuous support at our shows and generous donations.

We hope you decide to share the night with us, support local organisations and independent businesses and venues to keep celebrating women and non binary creative communities in our city and beyond. 🙌✨

We are at the International Women's Day Liverpool March today. Thank you Liverpool Sisterhood for taking the reins in organising this.

For us, International Women’s Day is a celebration of all the incredible women in this world and recognising how far we have come, but it is also a time that marks a reminder of all those women and their allies who have fought and sometimes died for us to have our rights.

Solidarity is the only way forward.

Emma Watkinson is one of Liverpool’s most prolific procrastinators. Emma is an unpublished Author, as apparently novels need more than three chapters. Writing them inside her head, is not the professional equivalent of proof reading, apparently that’s just “daydreaming”.
🌊
Professionally, Emma worked in the voluntary sector for twenty years prior to moving to the NHS five years ago supporting the most hard to reach people within our communities. Her work has centred around her belief in women’s empowerment, the importance of neurodivergent people and the value of those living with mental health diagnosis, as they are labels she is proud to hold herself.

Emma began writing poetry ten years ago as a way of coping with her challenges as a brain injured person. She expressed her passion about politics, humanity and then realised it was much easier to make swear words rhyme and it all went down hill from there.
🌊
Emma loves helping people to cry and laugh through expressive writing. She has dabbled in stand up comedy and planning women’s performance events, Maiden’s Tales at The Lock & Quay, however she retired as she was way too talented and it wasn’t fair on others for her to continue. Emma is coming out of retirement for one night only, for her love of women, performance and being centre of attention.
