Two Workers’ Educational Association Drama classes have joined forces to put on a Xmas show at the Valley Theatre on Tue 2nd & Wed 3rd December. The Netherley group are presenting “The Scrooge of Netherley”, a modern adaptation of the traditional Dickens’ story, with Scrooge now a Paydayloan-shark. A funny but relevant take on the original, with some local flavour.

The Di**le group are staging a W***y Russell short play, “Terraces”, a gripping story of one man’s fight against bullying neighbours. Originally a film for TV, the group have adapted it for stage.

The event starts at 7.30 and is free to the public. A collection will be held for Valley Theatre’s Development fund at the end of the performance.

Your Family or Your City ?

Thebes… Greece… The Age of Heroes.

A young man’s blood-stained body lies festering under the heat of the Greek sun.
Shouldn't someone bury him?
But Wait!

The man’s a traitor who died trying to conquer his own city, fighting hand to hand with his own brother.
Still sure?

One lone voice dares to disobey the new King’s orders… A woman’s voice... A voice in the wilderness. Antigone.
"He can’t forbid me to love my brother. He has neither the right nor the power to do that"!

Brimstone Theatre presents Sophocles’ classic tale of conflicting loyalties, individual versus State, and a family torn apart by war and the battle for power.
