Art hasn't always been the most female friendly space, despite there being b***s aplenty visible across much of art history. Although women (lots of unconscious, naked women, alarmingly) were often the subject of art, they were banned from life drawing classes until 1890. Even then, there were strict rules to cover up the model's delicate bits (lest we faint mid brush stroke) and limit numbers so as not to outnumber the menfolk.
As comedian Hannah Gadsby perfectly puts it, "The history of art in the West is just the history of men painting women like they're flesh vases for their dick flowers."
There's so much more we have to offer, so much more to be understood and expressed, and we've barely begun to scratch the surface.
