Banned upon release, Spring Awakening is unflinching, satirical and a painfully honest story of the youth vs the suffocating adult world.

Next weekend! Frank Wedekind’s revolutionary 1891 play, Spring Awakening, is a raw, unflinching, and timeless exploration of the sexual, social, and academic pressures placed upon teenagers in a repressive society. Originally set in 19th-century Germany and banned upon release, the play follows a group of teenagers - including the intellectual Melchior Gabor, the confused Wendla Bergmann, and the anxious Moritz Stiefel - as they grapple with their sexuality, the confusion of puberty, and the ignorance of their parents and educators.
