A New Chapter. It’s been a season of being still hence the absence of posts!

For years, many of you have recognised Art of Redemption by the lion (This happened by accident)

That hasn’t changed.

What has changed is the heart behind the mark.

As I’ve grown, I’ve wanted every part of this journey to reflect what matters most. This new logo is more than a fresh design. The lion’s gaze is lifted. The fire has become part of him. To me, it’s a picture of worship, refinement and the presence of God.

Art has never been the destination.

Every painting, every conversation and every opportunity has always been about pointing people to one person.

Only Jesus.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey over the years. Whether you’ve followed from the beginning or have only just joined, I’m so grateful you’re here.

Here’s to a new season of creativity, wonder and redemption.

Well… this escalated quickly… 😂🏎️

Creativity isn’t just painting! 😂

I may not be able to paint at the present moment!

But apparently I can spend hours creating a 20-page Silverstone Survival Guide for my first ever British Grand Prix. 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Parking? ✔️
Best viewing spots? ✔️
Food? ✔️
Walking routes? ✔️
Toilets? (The important stuff!) ✔️
Tips I probably didn’t need but included anyway? Absolutely. 😂

When ADHD meets a bucket list dream… this is what happens. 😅

A huge thank you to my amazing wife for the best birthday present. ❤️ She bought me the ticket… I somehow responded by writing a guidebook. 😂

Now all that’s left is to actually survive Silverstone… and hopefully remember to watch the racing instead of checking page 14. 🤣🏁

I’ve been looking back over the last 6 years this week of when I started painting. Sadly I’m still not able to paint at the moment, so lots of reflection happening!

It’s amazing how God can take seasons that felt like failure and reveal they were actually formation.

Sometimes you don’t realise how much you’ve changed until you stop long enough to look.

I think Art of Redemption is about to enter a new season…

I think one of the biggest things we’ve lost is wonder.

Not because God stopped speaking.

Not because He stopped creating.
Not because He’s become distant.
We’ve just become busy.

Busy building.
Busy chasing.
Busy worrying.
Busy scrolling.
Busy trying to figure everything out.

Yet some of the deepest moments I’ve had with God haven’t come through striving.

They’ve come when I’ve slowed down enough to sit with Him.

To dream.To imagine.To create.To wonder.

Lately I’ve been spending time working on my book, exploring new creative ideas, listening to worship, resting my shoulder, and simply making space again.

And honestly?

It’s been good for my soul.

I don’t think creativity begins with a paintbrush. I think it begins with wonder.

The ability to stop long enough to notice beauty.
To ask questions.
To dream impossible dreams.
To believe that God is still speaking.

Maybe that’s why Jesus pointed us towards childlike faith.

Children haven’t learned to limit what’s possible yet. Perhaps that’s where creativity starts too. Not with having all the answers.

But with wonder.

Only Jesus.

A year ago today, this happened…

I was painting live on the streets.

I’d never met the man in the painting.

In fact, I didn’t even know if he’d ever see it.

But then something unexpected happened…

He walked around the corner.

The very person I was painting stood in front of the canvas.

I watched him stop.
Look.
Reflect & Shout it’s me, it’s me! Jesus is real! It’s me!

For me, this was never about creating another piece of artwork.

It was a reminder that God is still arranging moments we could never plan ourselves.

Sometimes the painting isn’t the miracle.

The encounter is.

One year later, this is still one of my favourite moments.

This book challenged me more than most sermons I’ve heard this year.

I’ve spent the last week reading Spark by Al Gordon, and honestly, it’s one of those books that doesn’t just inspire you… it confronts you.

Not with guilt. Not with pressure.

But with possibility.

One of the biggest themes throughout the book is that God hasn’t called us to live safe, predictable, comfortable lives. He has placed gifts, dreams, creativity, passion, and purpose inside every one of us, and those things were never meant to stay hidden.

As I read it, I found myself asking:

“What sparks has God placed in me that I’ve allowed to grow dim?”

For me, creativity has always been one of those sparks.

Not creativity for creativity’s sake.

Not art for attention.

But creativity as worship.
Creativity as mission.
Creativity as a way of revealing something of the Creator.

The book repeatedly points back to the truth that God delights in partnering with ordinary people who are willing to step out in faith, take risks, and use what they’ve been given.

That challenged me.

Because it’s easy to become busy.
Easy to become familiar.
Easy to settle into routine.

But God is still inviting us to dream.
Still inviting us to create.
Still inviting us to step into all He has prepared for us.

Read this book.

Not because it will give you all the answers.

But because it might remind you of the spark God placed in you from the very beginning.
